What is the Quantum Medicine Wheel
The Quantum Medicine Wheel blends ancient Peruvian shamanic tradition with neuroscience, quantum physics, and behavioral psychology, because it's never been enough for me to just know the woo works.
What the Quantum Medicine Wheel Is, And Where Shamanic Healing Fits In
The medicine wheel is a shamanic healing and wisdom framework rooted in oral traditions that have been passed down for thousands of years. The specific lineage I was trained in comes from the Q'ero people of Peru, and it centers on four directions, each direction holding its own teachings, its own energetic medicine, its own invitation for the person doing the work.
Each direction is an open doorway. South, West, North, East, and you move through them in a specific sequence because each direction builds on the last. You can't skip a direction any more than you can skip a season. The medicine wheel gives you tools and teaches you how to build your own map, so you can walk your own unique path.
The teachings include lineage, the wisdom passed down through generations of healers before me, ceremony, and energetic rites. (Rites, as in sacred ceremonies and initiations that transmit energy and open new levels of awareness.) These are practices with real, measurable effects on the human nervous system, the human psyche, and the human energy field.
Where These Medicine Wheel Teachings Come From
I was trained in the Peruvian shamanic lineage, and I want to be really clear about something here: I am a modern-day Shaman who was trained in an ancient tradition. I am not Q'ero or even from Peru. I carry these teachings with deep reverence for the lineage they come from, and I teach them with that reverence intact.
What I've added is the science layer. The original teachings are whole and complete on their own. I didn't fix them or improve them. They didn't need it. I've spent decades learning why they work at the level of the brain, the nervous system, and the quantum field, because that understanding is what allowed me to trust them completely, and it's what allows my students to trust them too.
A lot of the women I work with are highly intelligent, analytically wired, deeply spiritual, and also just a little bit skeptical, which just means the science "proof" is important. To them and to me. They want the woo AND they want to understand the mechanism behind it. They're not willing to just take everything on faith. And honestly? Neither am I.
It's never been enough for me to know that something works. I've always needed to know why.
Why I Added the Science Layer, And Why It Took Decades
I've been studying neuroscience since I was nine years old, starting with how the brain processes trauma and stress long before I had the vocabulary for any of it. I started exploring different forms of spirituality as a teenager, drawn to the parts that other people seemed to accept on faith but that I needed to feel in my body to believe. My first year of college I became completely fascinated by behavioral psychology, specifically how beliefs form, how they get encoded, and why smart people repeat patterns they hate. And then a science professor introduced me to quantum physics, and something clicked into place that will never unclick. Because here was modern science describing, in peer-reviewed language, what the spiritual traditions had been saying for thousands of years.
I have always wanted to know why things work. It has never been enough for me to know that a technique, a process, a ceremony, or an energetic rite produces results. I want to know the how behind the thing, and that's where my decades of studying neuroscience, quantum physics, and human behavioral psychology come into play, because it turns out that modern science has a LOT to say about why ancient shamanic healing practices do exactly what they do.
The Quantum Medicine Wheel is those original medicine wheel teachings, the lineage, the ceremony, the energetic rites, taught through the lens of modern-day science. It's both the spiritual traditions and the science together, because they are describing the same thing from different angles.
The Neuroscience Piece: Where Neuroscience and Spirituality Meet in the Brain
Let's talk about neurons. Specifically, the principle that neurons that fire together wire together, a concept first described by neuropsychologist Donald Hebb in 1949 and now foundational in modern neuroscience. Every time you think a thought, feel a feeling, or repeat a behavior, the neurons involved in that experience fire simultaneously and the connection between them strengthens. Over time, those connections get coated in myelin, a fatty substance that makes the signal faster and more automatic.
That's how beliefs get encoded. That's how a woman can intellectually know she is capable and still find herself paralyzed by doubt, because the doubt pathway has been firing for so much longer than the confidence pathway, and myelin doesn't care which pathway is true. Its only job is to protect the one that gets used most.
The shamanic practices inside the Quantum Medicine Wheel create new firing patterns. The ceremonies, the journeys, the energetic rites are spiritually meaningful and neurologically significant. They are literally creating new pathways in the brain while disrupting the old ones.
The RAS: Your Brain's Bouncer
The other neuroscience piece I come back to constantly is the reticular activating system, or the RAS. The RAS is the part of your brain that decides what you notice and what you don't. Think of it the way Mel Robbins describes it, as the bouncer at the door of a bar. It decides who gets in and who stays out.
We only consciously notice abouttwelve to thirteen percent of what's actually happening around us at any given moment. The other eighty-seven percent gets filtered out. Your brain does this because if it didn't, you'd be in a constant state of overwhelm. The reticular activating system is a survival mechanism. It keeps you sane by making you selectively unaware.
You've already experienced this whether you know it or not. Think about the last time you decided you wanted a specific car. Suddenly that car was everywhere, on the road next to you, in parking lots, crossing traffic ahead of you. The car was always there. You just never noticed it before because your RAS had no reason to flag it as important. The moment you decided it mattered, the RAS started letting it in.
The Quantum Medicine Wheel includes specific practices that help you program your RAS intentionally,so it starts noticing evidence for what you're creating instead of evidence for what you've always had. When your RAS is calibrated to look for possibility, it finds it, because possibility has always been there. You were just filtering it out.
The Quantum Physics Piece: The Field of Infinite Possibility
Quantum physics describes a quantum field, an invisible field of energy and information that underlies all physical reality. It is, in the most literal scientific sense, an endless sea of infinite possibility. Nothing has collapsed into a fixed outcome until it is observed. The observer changes what is observed. This isn't mysticism. This is peer-reviewed physics, demonstrated most famously in the double-slit experiment conducted by Thomas Young in 1801 and reproduced in laboratories around the world ever since.
What the shamanic traditions have always known is what quantum physics is now confirming:that consciousness participates in creating reality, that energy precedes form, that what you hold your attention on matters at a level that is measurable and real.
The energetic rites of the medicine wheel work in this field. The shamanic journeys work in this field. The morning practices work in this field. And when your RAS is programmed to notice evidence that what you're creating is already possible, already present as potential in the quantum field, you start to experience what looks like coincidence but is actually coherence. You and the field, moving together.
The Behavioral Psychology Piece: How Patterns Get Encoded and Changed
Behavioral psychology gives us the mechanism for why so many intelligent, capable women stay stuck in patterns that no longer serve them even when they desperately want to change. The short answer is: the subconscious mind doesn't respond to logic.
You can know intellectually that you are safe, loved, capable, and worthy, and your subconscious can still be running a completely different program underneath that knowledge, one that was written when you were six years old, or twelve, or twenty-three, and has been reinforced every day since. That program is a survival adaptation that got encoded when it was genuinely useful and simply never got updated.
The Quantum Medicine Wheel works at the level where those programs live. The ceremonies, the journeys, the practices in each direction, they go underneath the intellectual layer, into the part of the brain where the old patterns are actually stored. That's why women who have spent years in traditional talk therapy, who understand their patterns intellectually and can articulate exactly why they do what they do, still find that something shifts in this work that didn't shift before. Understanding a pattern and rewiring a pattern are two very different things.
The verbal mesa proxy is one of the clearest examples of this. In shamanic tradition, the mesa is your healing bundle, the physical object that holds your medicine, your power, your intention. The verbal mesa proxy is the understanding that your words function the same way. The words you speak out loud, repeatedly, with energy and intention are literal instructions to the nervous system and the subconscious mind. That's why every spiritual tradition in the world has a word for it: spells. Spelling. We've been doing this forever. The neuroscience just finally caught up with an explanation for why it works.
Who This Is For
The Quantum Medicine Wheel is for the woman who wants both. She wants the depth of the spiritual work AND she wants to understand why it works. She's not willing to leave her intelligence at the door in order to access her intuition because she doesn't have to.
She may have some indigenous heritage she's exploring. She may be deeply spiritual already and looking for a framework that can hold all of it, the woo and the science and the personal metamorphosis and the lived experience, without asking her to choose. She may be a woman entrepreneur who is successful on paper and privately exhausted and ready for something that works at a level she hasn't been able to reach before.
She's ready to stop asking "does this work?" and start asking "why does it work?", because when you understand the why, you trust the process completely. And when you trust the process completely, the work goes deeper than it's ever gone before.
If that's you, start with the Clear Your Mental Clutter shamanic journey. It's free and it gives you a direct experience of what working in this framework actually feels like, in your body, before you decide anything else.Get it here.
And when you're ready to go deeper, the Quantum Medicine Wheel is waiting.Learn more here.
When you understand why the woo works, everything changes.
